Vintage dress (Awoke Vintage), Rapsodia vest, Jeffrey Campbell boots
Another casual Sunday in Flatiron, spent window-shoppping at ABC Carpet & Home and managed to sell a few pieces of clothing at Buffalo Exchange. It was my first time in the consignment business, so I was unaware that they were only buying for Fall, and of course I had mostly all summer stuff with me. It was a weird experience overall, when the buyer started going through my clothes I actually felt nervous for some reason. As she shifted through my pieces and casually discarded them, I felt a twinge of disappointment and had to stop myself from defending the piece. Have you guys ever tried out consignment to clean out some of the old pieces in your closets?
Now for this outfit, I actually love this combination and it’s not something that I would typically wear. I found this vintage white dress at Awoke Vintage in Brooklyn, I’ve never in my life had a simple white tee-shirt dress, so I felt quite accomplished when I tried this one on and it actually fit me ┬ánicely. I paired it with a denim vest and cut-out booties, and played up the jewelry with layered necklaces.
Thanks for reading,
Mary
