One of my favorite things to do is going to fashion exhibits. A few months ago I checked out the Manus X Machina
exhibit at the MET costume institute. Every year the MET holds two costume exhibits, each with a specific theme. The Manux X Machina exhibit focused on the intersection between fashion and technology, and how designers are combining hand-made and machine-made techniques to create unbelievable fabrics and shapes. I was blown away by the exquisite details and beautiful designs, so I wanted to share a few snapshots with you guys. If you’re in NY and haven’t checked it out yet, it’s definitely worth a visit – the exhibit runs until September 5th
so go before it’s over!
I’m loving the feminine and vintage-inspired floral designs here, reminds me of something Betty Draper from Mad Men would wear.
I hope you’ve enjoyed these snapshots! You can get more information about the exhibit on the MET website. Hope everyone has a nice weekend, and if you haven’t made plans yet, I’ve conveniently got one for you here 🙂
