Green and White for the Last Summer Outfit

Can you guys tell I’m missing summer already? This will sadly be my last true summer outfit on the blog for a while. Green and white is one of my favorite color combinations – I love the crispness of the two colors together, and it always looks clean but feminine at the same time. I wore this outfit to visit the Museum of Ice Cream a few weeks ago, so I knew I wanted a super playful look. I thought this green plaid mini skirt was perfect for the occasion, both from a style and practicality standpoint. While this piece looks like a skirt, it’s actually a skort, so this allowed me to move around as much as I wanted in the sprinkle pool without having to worry about flashing anyone!

To keep the look feminine and playful, I paired the skirt with a sheer white blouse and funky white shoes. I love these cutout shoes because they go perfectly with socks, and I’ll take any opportunity to wear shoes with socks. For my accessories, I kept it simple with a classic vintage handbag and delicate jewelry. I also decided to wave my hair with the Irresistible Me dual voltage flat iron for an extra playful vibe. You can read more about the flat iron and different way I use it to style my hair in this post.
