Happy almost NYFW guys! I’m super excited to kick-off this week as it will be my first Fashion Week ever. Of course I’ll be keeping everyone updated throughout the week on Instagram, so be sure to follow me there for live coverage of shows and events! Now onto this little red dress that I’ve been obsessed with all summer. I scored this pleated number at H&M for $40 and have been wearing it non-stop. It looks so much more expensive than it cost. The pleats and simple silhouette definitely elevates the dress and gives it a classic factor. The reason I love this dress so much is that it’s so easy to throw on and go, it’s really one of the most effortless dresses I’ve ever owned.
For a casual Friday night grabbing dinner at Smorgasborg, I kept the styling simple with my mint green Seychelles mules and Kate Spade shoulder bag. I added classic accessories including my Cluse watch and rose gold bracelets. If you love rose gold like I do, these delicate bracelets are from Audaviv and you can get 10% off with the code LAYERSOFCHICBLOG. I also chose minimalist rings, including this silver one from Audaviv and a gold midi ring.
The other thing I love about this little red dress is that it’s super versatile. I’ve also worn it during the Spring layered under a blazer in this post. This dress can also work as a great alternative to the little black dress for a special occasion. I can see it dressed up with silver pumps and a cute little clutch for a cocktail party or date night.
