NYFW has been such a whirlwind of wonderful experiences. As this was my first time at NYFW, I felt like I was living a dream, and it was so surreal sitting in the front row at runway shows. The week is coming to an end for me, so I’m slowly going through all my photos and working on recaps. I’ll be sharing three parts plus outfits, so bear with me as I have a lot of great photos and content for you guys.
Day 1 was one of my favorite days as I got to visit the Morphew Concept showroom to see their collection of gorgeous, one-of-a-kind vintage pieces. As I’m a huge vintage fan, this was a dream opportunity for me and I seriously felt like I was in vintage heaven. The cool thing about Morphew is that not only do they source and collect rare vintage clothes from all over the world, they also make their own pieces out of vintage fabrics. This black lace dress that I’m touching in the above photo is a piece that Morphew designed using different vintage materials. It’s so cool that they combine fabrics from all of the world and from different decades to make truly unique pieces.
How cute is this embellished little dress with different colored dots? This is totally something I would wear in the fall layered over a cute turtleneck with over-the-knee boots. I also met the designers Bridgett Morphew and Jason Lyon, and it was a great to hear firsthand from them how the pieces are made and where they get their inspiration.
My favorite piece was definitely this rainbow suede feather jacket that I actually got to try on. I fell in love with this piece the moment I saw it, it’s just so fabulous and I love the boho glam vibe. It also went perfectly with my outfit. If only I could have taken it home with me!
For my day 1 outfit, of course I had to wear something vintage and grand enough for the high-end showroom. I chose a vintage sequin blouse layered over a ruffled maxi dress. I accented the look with burgundy accessories, including my Celine bag and Dries Van Noten shoes.
Day 2 was an exciting day as it was my first NYFW runway show! I decided to go with a super feminine, ballerina inspired look. I attended two Fashion Palette shows, one for their Resort Collection and one for their RTW collection. Both shows featured a variety of Australian designers. Thanks to the Riviere Agency & Shopping Links, I was able to get a front row seat at the first show and second row seat at the second show. Not too shabby for my first two shows, and the front row goodie bag didn’t hurt either 🙂
How amazing is this gorgeous beaded gown by Con Ilio? This was definitely a showstopper.
Love all the floral and sequin dresses from Cristahlea, perfect for cocktail parties!
I got serious lingerie envy seeing the delicate and romantic pieces from Homebodii. The styling was also perfect with the floral headpiece.
Sleek and sophisticated dresses from Milanja. I’m digging this yellow number with a sexy cut-out.
Cool girl effect with a surprise in the back from Stephanie Chehade.
One of my favorite looks from Sui Generis. I’m a sucker for any outfit with a crop top and off-the-shoulder neckline, and this one takes it to another level.
Day 3 kicked off with a morning presentation for Alterre shoes at Lady Mendl’s Tea Salon. This was such a creative way to present shoes, and it definitely made getting up for a 9AM show worth it. With fresh scones, tea sandwiches, and bellinis, we enjoyed the shoes in an intimate and cozy setting. Alterre is a shoe brand that just launched last year, and they are all about providing shoes that are customizable for different occasions. All of their heels and straps are detachable and inter-changeable, so you can choose different colors, heel heights, and styles that best suit your “Alter Ego.”
I’m loving their new lace-up sandals collection with a detachable lace-up that comes in different colors.
How pretty are these peach ones with the gold lace-ups? I totally need a pair! If you can’t tell by now, I like to dress the part. I chose a high tea inspired outfit with a pink hat, floral skirt, and silk blouse. I’ll take any excuse to dress up!
Thanks for reading,
Mary

Simply loving all these looks! So JELLY you got to go to NYFW; thought I’d stop by as a fellow Goizueta grad originally from the NY area – but I’m now in ATL (Linkedin recommended you to me, ha!). Glad you’re pursuing your passion full time! Keep it up.
