One of the biggest challenges my skin faces during the Fall and Winter seasons is dryness, itchiness, and flakiness. As the weather is getting cooler by the minute, I’ve developed a fall skin care routine to prevent dryness and keep my skin moisturized and comfortable. There are a few products and skin care tips I’ve been using this season that I’ve found effective for both the face and body.
For the face, I like to start with the Trilogy Rosehip Oil and Booster Oil. Trilogy is a natural skin care company based in New Zealand and specializes in powerful anti-aging oils and creams with speciality ingredients. I’ve previously tried oils before and didn’t like the greasy texture, but the Trilogy oils are very light and absorbs into the skin quickly. The Rosehip Oil is great for everyday use alone or before applying your regular moisturizer, but I find that it’s enough just on its own. It is Trilogy’s most well-known product, and is super moisturizing as well as anti-aging. It also smells like tea, which I find calming.
The other oil I use occasionally is the booster oil for when my skin is tired or extra dry. The booster oil is great for skin recovery and helps boost your skin’s radiance while also being anti-aging. The oil smells like a combination of nuts and fresh herbs. Lastly, I use the Trilogy Everything Balm, which as the name suggests can be used on any dry area in your skin. I like to use it on my lips and dab it on around my nose. But perhaps the best thing about this balm is that it smells AMAZING, like mint with a hint of rose. I always have it in my purse for a quick fix.
In the mornings after showering, I usually alternate being using the Trilogy oils and my Perricone MD moisturizer cream. The cream is one of my favorites but is quite pricey, so I try and use it sparingly. I’m addicted to the rose smell that is just the right amount without being overpowering, and I love the consistency and texture of the cream. For nighttime, I use the Aveeno Positively Radiant night cream. It is thicker in texture so just a small amount is enough. I’ve been using it for a few months now and have barely made a dent.
I’ve also incorporated a mask into my face care routine and use the Skinceuticals Phyto Corrective Masque once a week. This mask is unlike anything I’ve tried before. I get an immediate cooling sensation when I put it on, and it leaves my skin feeling super refreshed and moisturized. It’s also very easy to use, you simply put it on your face and leave on for 10-15 minutes, and then rinse off with water. I’ve heard it’s also great during the summer post sun and helps with redness, so I’m looking forward to trying that out next summer.
Lastly, for my body I keep it pretty simple and low maintenance. I’ve been using the Shaveworks Pearl Luxe hydrating body lotion and it works just fine. I like that it’s lightweight and doesn’t have any scent, as I typically don’t use any perfumes or scented body lotions. This lotion is interesting as it’s a special formula that also reduces the appearance of body hair. As my hair is pretty light to begin with, I admit haven’t paid much attention to this aspect.
These are the key products I use for my Fall skin care to help with dryness. I hope you’ve found this post helpful, and let me know if you have any questions in the comments below!

These are some nice products! I can’t use Rosehip oil because the smell is just too much for me, but I like to use a drop or two of Argan oil mixed into my nighttime moisturizer for extra hydration
