As you all know I love mixing vintage & modern pieces, so I wanted to share some of my favorite fellow bloggers who nail the modern vintage style. I love the unique perspective that each of these ladies bring to their looks, and I hope you check out their blogs and enjoy them as much as I do!
Karen of Where Did U Get That is what I think of as one of the original vintage blogs, before the blogging industry exploded and Instagram came into play. I’ve been following her for years (since college), and she has the uncanny ability to spot the most amazing vintage items and pair them with unexpected pieces. Her style is bohemian, feminine, and a little rock’n’roll. In this look she pairs a vintage fringe jacket with a long maxi dress and vintage Coach bag. It’s layering perfection.
Annette of A Vintage Splendor is a fashion and lifestyle blogger sharing her expertise in vintage meets modern in her wardrobe, home, travel, and motherhood. I love how she incorporates vintage pieces in super wearable and trendy ways. In this look she layers a vintage vest over a striped shirt, making the whole outfit look very cool and modern.
Leigh of Pink Vintage Heart has an affinity for vintage dresses and her blog is full of pretty floral prints and the most dainty feminine looks. Her outfits feature her signature accessories such as a vintage straw bag, hat, or scarf, as well as lots of pink. Based in NYC, she is also an expert on the city’s vintage shops and thrift stores.
Jo of CutandChicVintage has her own vintage clothing store on Etsy and is the master of mixing vintage with minimalist modern pieces. Her looks are always streamlined and sophisticated, such as this fabulous metallic skirt paired with a vintage top and vintage heels. She sticks to a well curated color palette of black, white, and neutrals and always looks put together.
Noelle of Noelle’s Favorite Things is one of the cutest bloggers ever! From her feminine frocks to her eclectic accessories such a Coca-Cola bag and adorable glasses, every look seems straight out of a storybook page. She also picks the most idyllic locations for her shoots. In this outfit she pairs a cherry print dress with a vintage purse and modern flats.
Andrea of PrettyProperQuaint brings an off-duty, tomboy cool vibe to all her looks. Her style is casual and effortless with a vintage twist, and she also has a vintage shop on Etsy selling her grandma’s vintage clothing. In this outfit she’s rocking a vintage plaid skirt with a trendy crop top and Cole Haan wedges.
Amy of A Fashion Nerd has a fabulously unique style perspective, and it definitely shows in her outfits! With her signature glasses (which is her own line, can we talk about accomplished?!), whimsical dresses, and edgy accessories, she truly stands out from the crowd. Here she adds some edge to a feminine dress with leather boots and studded glasses. Oh btw, she ALSO launched an app called FashionTap and was on Shark Tank. Serious girl boss status.
Jane of Sea of Shoes is the the glam of the glam, and combines old school Hollywood glamour with dramatic modern pieces. Every outfit is editorial worthy and jaw-droppingly gorgeous, plus her hair and makeup are always on point. In this look she pairs a vintage fur vest with a luxe leather skirt and is truly femme fatale.
And saving the best for last is Karla of Karla’s Closet, the vintage blog that started all vintage blogs (in my humble opinion). I’ve been following Karla since high school, and she is a true style inspiration to me. Following her blog is actually what made me want to start my own blog. She finds the most beautiful vintage pieces and pairs them with sexy basics like bodysuits and form-fitting jeans. In this outfit she’s wearing a vintage kimono with a bodysuit and wide-leg pants. She doesn’t blog as much now as she’s actually transitioned to focusing on her clothing line The Line by K, but I had to include her as she will always be my favorite blogger of all time.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this roundup of modern vintage style blogs. If you follow any vintage-inspired blogs not on this list, share the love and let me know in the comments below!
