I scored this long kimono jacket at the & Other Stories mid-season sale last week and am totally obsessed with it. It feels like it was made for me, and I knew I had to have it the moment I put it on. A kimono jacket makes it so easy to achieve a layered boho look, and it works for all seasons. I really like the shinjuku inspired print on this kimono and the lightweight fabric, which makes it a perfect piece for layering.
For a fall outfit, I layered the long kimono over a grey midi sweater dress for an effortless look. I chose a solid color sweater dress to contrast with the printed kimono, and went with a long length overall to achieve the bohemian style. The great thing about a long sweater dress during the Fall is that you don’t have to wear tights, which is definitely a plus as I hate the way tights feel. I also paired the look with grey ankle boots and socks for a cozy vibe.
For my accessories, I went with an Aztec inspired necklace from Roadkill Ranch that I also featured in this post, and my vintage Coach shoulder bag. I kept most of the outfit pretty simple and let the kimono shine.
This long kimono would also look great with a pair of jeans and black turtleneck sweater for Winter. For Spring, I would wear it with a slip dress, and for summer it would serve as a great beach cover-up paired with a bikini. This piece is honestly so versatile, I definitely anticipate featuring it on the blog multiple times!
I found the kimono on sale at the & Other Stories store, but it doesn’t appear to be on sale online yet. If you’re looking to get it, I would wait a few weeks and I’m pretty sure it will go on sale online eventually!
