The last of my holiday outfits series features this cozy look for a holiday dinner party or family holiday dinner. I’m currently writing to you from my Mom’s house in Long Island, it feels so nice to be working from a much bigger space. I’m planning on taking it easy for the next few days, catching up on some reading, and experimenting with the tripod. Long Island is the perfect place to practice your tripod skills as there is no one here, so there’s no worry about people seeing you. For this outfit, I started with this metallic skirt from Zaful which is just perfect for the holidays. I’ve never met a pleated skirt I didn’t like, and the silver color gives the piece just the right amount of shine and edginess. Zaful is currently having their big Christmas promotion, so check out the site for some great deals on trendy items. This skirt also comes in Pink, Burgundy, and Dark Blue.
I paired the skirt with a cropped pastel sweater to add a touch of softness to the look. For a holiday dinner with family, I always want to look warm and fuzzy, and this sweater is just the perfect piece. The lilac color also contrasts nicely with the metallic skirt and makes the outfit feminine yet cool at the same time. Of course I had to wear my lilac Kate Spade bag, I could not pass up the opportunity to match my sweater with my bag!
Any good holiday look needs a pair of red shoes, as you’ll also see in this post. For this outfit I chose my vintage polka dots heels for a touch of whimsy. The holidays are about joy and celebration, and that’s what I think of when it comes to these shoes. Clothes are emotional, and I truly feel a sense of happiness when I slip on these heels. I completed this holiday dinner party look with delicate rings and the prettiest gray nail polish.
If you’re still in need of a Christmas Day outfit, check out my post here for some last-minute inspiration. Hope everyone has a great holiday!

Mary

That metallic skirt look so amazing! (I love dresses/skirts that reflect the light when you twirl.) That sweater looks so soft and cozy, too. Enjoy the holidays!
