I’m loving the colors and vibrancy of this fun and flirty outfit. This lip print blouse from Romwe caught my attention immediately; it has a pop art aspect to it that really stands out. I can’t tell you how many compliments I’ve gotten wearing this blouse. The best part is it’s only $16.99, and the quality feels super nice and expensive. I was inspired by how fun the blouse is and paired it with an equally fun watercolor skirt. I actually found this skirt at a thrift store called Eleven Consignment Boutique. The skirt is Alice & Olivia and has never been worn (the tag was still on it), and I scored it for $27! I couldn’t believe my luck, and this skirt is pretty much made for me. I can’t say no to high-waisted skirts with a colorful print, especially when they come in the form of watercolor florals.
I wanted to pair this look with equally fun and flirty accessories, which was not hard to do with my collection. I chose my white leather embellished sneakers from Coach to go with the white blouse, as well as a small white crossbody bag. To add an element of surprise, I attached a huge pink pom pom from Kestan to the bag. I kind of love how big the pom pom is compared to the small bag for an exaggerated effect. Of course I had to wear my Kate Spade monster bracelet for an additional animated element, and I completed the look with delicate rings and bright nails.
This is the kind of outfit that I feel most like myself in. There’s something about a flirty high-waisted skirt that I just love, and I’m always the happiest when I’m wearing color. I get a lot of comments from you guys on how you feel like you can’t wear color, and I want to challenge you to incorporate little bits of color into your wardrobe. Even if it’s just an accessory or jewelry piece, I really think wearing color affects the way we feel and can uplift us. I’m not a happy-go-lucky kind of person, in fact my stress level on an average day is at an 8, and I’m a crazy perfectionist and constantly high-strung. But color just puts me in a good mood, so embrace it and don’t be concerned about drawing attention to yourself. That is a good thing, trust me!
