How to Look Cute on a Bad Hair Day

We all have those bad hair days when we wake up and don’t know what to do with our hair. Sometimes my hair just looks super flat even after blowing drying, other times it’s frizzy, and then there are those days when I need to run out the door and don’t have time to wash my hair. I’ve recently discovered the secret to looking cute on a bad hair day by wearing a Grace Eleyae Satin-Lined Cap. This is essentially a beanie like cap that has satin material on the inside, which keeps my hair moisturized, silky and smooth, and helps reduce breakage and frizz. The cap is both cute and functional – it looks great with a comfy chic outfit, and it also protects my hair from harsh outside materials. My other trick for a bad hair day is to spray on lots of Amika dry shampoo, which helps to refresh my hair and give it volume and texture. I’ve actually discovered that dry shampoo actually works better than texturizing spray for adding volume.

How to Prevent a Bad Hair Day

The beauty of this satin-lined cap is that you can also wear it to bed to prevent a bad hair day. The cap is super comfortable to sleep in and has an elastic band that helps it stay in place. The cap keeps hair moisturized and knot-free while sleeping, so you’ll wake up with amazing look hair. I’m all about efficiency, so I love that my hair is getting the 5-star treatment while I’m sleeping. I’ve also been using a hair oil before bed for additional nourishment so that I wake up with soft and silky hair.

Like the cap, this outfit is perfect for those lazy days when I just don’t have time to think about what to wear. This jersey dress from Three Dots is so comfortable and versatile, plus you can’t go wrong with a black dress. For light spring layers I paired it with a light pink stretch turtleneck, and matching with the pink theme I chose a pink shoulder bag and pink slip-on sneakers. I completed the outfit with a statement necklace and skinny belt for a cool street look.

I can’t lie. It looks like my swim cap – which is great if you’re at a pool. Not so much if you’re on the street. My 2 cents.
