Happy Monday loves! I’m so excited to announce that I’ll be hosting an event with a few of my fellow blogger babes at the New York Vera Bradley store in Soho on Wednesday, May 31st from 6PM – 9PM. There will be drinks, a live DJ, and a shopping discount for the night. For those of you in NY, I hope you all will join me for a fun night, you can RSVP here! You might be thinking of those printed paisley bags everyone had in college when you hear the words Vera Bradley. I did too, but when I checked out their store recently I found that the brand has really repositioned itself and come out with some super chic leather bags, including fruit bags that I’m just obsessed with. Read on to see how I styled two of my favorite fruit bags from the latest Vera Bradley collection.
Since the Vera Bradley brand is all about color and prints, of course I had to choose colorful dresses to go with the fun bags. How adorable is this watermelon fruit bag?! It is perfect for Spring and Summer, and is just the right size for a statement bag. The leather is really high quality and the bag looks and feels expensive. I paired it with an equally colorful dress, and for a feminine flair I added a sheer blush pink ruffled bolero. For my shoes, I went with my favorite blush pink velvet glitter heels, and accessorized with rose gold arm candy and nails. The overall effect is super feminine and whimsical, just the way I like it!
This vintage yellow dress is absolutely one of my favorite vintage finds to date. I was lucky enough to pick up it the day it went on the rack at Edith Machinist. I’m pretty sure this dress would have sold fairly quickly, so I like to think that it was fate that brought me to this dress. Not to mention I found it on my birthday! This dress fits like a glove and I don’t have anything like it. The shape is amazing, with the V-neck neckline, fitted waist, and billowy sleeves. But what really drew me to the dress is the vibrant yellow color. I just can’t get enough, I feel like Zooey Deschanel in the movie “100 Days of Summer” when I’m wearing this dress. I paired the dress with another Vera Bradley fruit bag, this time a pink melon one that contrasts perfectly agains the yellow. For those of you who love yellow as much as I do, there is also a yellow melon version that’s pretty darn cute.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this peek into Vera Bradley’s new collection. Join me on May 31st at 411 W Broadway, New York, NY 10012 at the Vera Bradley Soho store from 6-9PM to see more bags, mingle with other bloggers, and have a great time. Be sure to RSVP here. I would love to see you all there and meet you in person!
