This vintage kimono robe has to be one of my favorite finds of all time. Ok, I know I say that a lot, but this piece really is such a gem and I’ve never seen anything like it. I found it at Amarcord Vintage in Williamsburg, the store has so many amazing treasures that I seriously wanted to buy everything! The kimono also comes with a matching vintage dress which is pretty amazing, but I decided to style it with modern pieces for an eclectic kimono outfit. The moment I saw this kimono, I knew it was meant to be paired with my Hebe Rose fur muff. How amazing is this fur muff that can also be worn as a clutch? Fur muffs are such a vintage throwback, and I love the modern take on this one with the gold tassel chain and recycled materials. You can get 50% off the muff with code “Mother” on the Hebe Rose website – it makes a perfect gift for Mother’s Day or for yourself!
I paired this vintage kimono with modern elements, including a crop top and floral pants. The pattern on the pants kind of has an oriental vibe to it, which goes well with the kimono. The top also has a floral crochet pattern that matches the romantic vibe of kimono. The billowy lace sleeves are absolutely my favorite part about the kimono, it invokes a sense of vintage glamour and whimsy that you just can’t find in clothes today. Keeping with the eclectic theme, I chose white slides from Donald J Pliner that have a cool metal design on them for a modern touch.
For my accessories, I chose a Ted Baker watch with a floral band to match with the floral pants, as well as delicate rose gold bracelets. This watch is perfect for Spring and Summer and adds a touch of femininity to your arm candy. I also wore a long oriental necklace to go with the oriental feel of the pants. And of course the fur muff completes the outfit perfectly.
