Can you guys tell what my favorite summer trend is? Anything that has fruit prints on it! I’m kind of going through a fruit print madness, whether it’s a pineapple skirt or a fruit bag. I just can’t get enough, I think it’s so cute and cheery for Summer. I love the vibrant pink color of this skirt contrasted against the yellow pineapple print. Plus it’s pleated, and you can never go wrong with a pleated skirt. Since it is super high-waisted, I paired it with a cropped white ruffle tank that has a bit of a flamenco feel to it. This outfit makes me so happy and in the mood for summer. Amazingly enough, I found a yellow house to shoot in front of to bring out the yellow in my pineapple skirt.
Making this look a full on fruits party, I chose my Vera Bradley watermelon fruit bag that I’ve been wearing non-stop (as you can see in these posts here & here). It doesn’t get more fun and colorful than pairing a watermelon bag with a pineapple skirt! The icing on the cake was that my nail art also had a fruit print on it with the bananas. Sadly I had to get my lovely nail art removed yesterday as my nails were getting way too long, but they lasted almost 3 weeks without chipping, which is pretty amazing.
I also chose rose gold sunglasses from Moole with an oversized cat eye shape. These sunnies remind of the Gentle Monster pair that Aimee Song designed, but at a fraction of the price at only $18! I was impressed by the quality of the sunglasses considering the price, and they look super expensive and premium. Best of all this pair comes with nose pads that allow them to actually fit on my Asian face, which is always a concern for me. I love a good cat eye shape but have never been able to pull them off, so I’m pleasantly surprised that this pair worked out!
For my jewelry, I layered a rose gold choker with a delicate Tree of Life pendant to fit with the V-neck shape of the blouse. I also chose a vintage ring and rose gold bangle, and completed the look with white slides for a relaxed summer vibe. Both my top and skirt are from Zaful, and I’m excited to share they are currently celebrating their 3rd anniversary with a $100 gift card giveaway!
