Hope everyone had a great weekend! I had a pretty productive one and spent it shooting Fall outfits in the middle of Summer, getting in a spinning class, and of course eating some delicious food. Today’s look is for all those of you who don’t like wearing dresses. It’s a crazy notion to me, but I know that not everyone wants to live in dresses every day. So if you want to look dressed up but not have to wear a dress or skirt, a dressy romper or playsuit is a great alternative. Don’t let these photos fool you, it might look like I’m wearing a dress from far away, but this little rose print number from Review Australia is actually a romper. The long sleeve cut, ruffles neckline, and detailing on the shorts make this romper perfect for fancier occasions. The darker rose print also adds to the dressier effect, plus it comes with a sleek black belt.
I am through and through a dresses girl, but this print actually also comes in a dress (here), and I much prefer the romper. So case in point that sometimes a dressy romper is actually a cuter alternative. Keeping with the dressy feminine vibe, I paired the romper with floral brocade block heels and a nude bow handbag. To play off of the pretty red rose print, I chose statement red fringe earrings from BaubleBar. These earrings take the look to another level and are a match made in heaven with the romper. I also went with a rose gold bracelet and watch, and delicate pearl rings.
I happened to find the perfect location for this outfit at Grace Court, a little alleyway tucked away in Brooklyn Heights. I’ve been wanting to shoot here a while now but was waiting for the right outfit. This alleyway invokes a countryside charm, and the pretty flowers were the ideal backdrop for this rose print romper. I am all about finding locations that accentuate the outfit but don’t always do a great job at it, but this is one of those times where I was successful!

Rompers are my favorite! I don’t have a long-sleeved one yet so I gotta check this one out. I love how you styled it, too!
Looks like a dress, beautiful. Loving those shoes, too!
Ooh that romper is so pretty and feminine! I definitely would have thought it was a dress if you hadn’t told me.
At first glance, I thought it’s really a dress! Great job in making that romper look dressy. I love the prints as well, so beautiful on you.
