A few weeks ago, I partnered with Maggy London on a funshoot featuring three of my favorite pieces from their latest collection. I styled each piece two ways for warmer and cooler weather, showcasing how the pieces can easily transition from Summer to Fall. Read on for six different outfit ideas, and let me know your favorite in the comments below!
My favorite piece from Maggy London is definitely this cobalt blue dress with statement bell sleeves. This dress fits me like a glove (I recommend sizing down for Maggy London) and makes me feel so powerful. For the Summer look, I styled the dress with matching cobalt blue open toe heels, a floral handbag, and a gold floral necklace. This look can seamlessly transition from work to happy hour without compromising style!
A great way to transition a dress with statement sleeves into Fall is by adding a vest, which provides warmth without covering up the pretty sleeves. I chose a color block vest to play off of the sharp blue color, and completed the look with lace-up ankle boots and a vintage blue bag. For my jewelry, I went with fun tassel earrings and a floral watch.
We always talk about the little black dress as a must-have, but for the modern woman consider a little black jumpsuit instead. I am seriously loving this Illusion Jumpsuit from Maggy London with the sophisticated sheer neckline and sliming fit. It is just so effortlessly chic. For the warmer weather look, I styled it with floral heels for a pop of color, a chic black and white clutch, and statement turquoise necklace. This outfit is perfect for a nice dinner and drinks.
To transition this jumpsuit into cooler weather, I chose Fall accessories including a leather handbag and black metallic heel loafers. I love that the loafers give the jumpsuit a cool menswear vibe. For a downtown chic feel, I layered a denim jacket over the jumpsuit.
The last piece is a fit and flare dress from Maggy London’s sister brand, London Times. This is a super classic cocktail dress that works for any special occasion, from weddings to parties to happy hour. For the warm weather look, I paired the dress with fun fringe sandals and a nude handbag for a youthful vibe.
For the Fall look, I went all out feminine with a pink fit and flare coat. An easy tip to keep in mind when styling an fit and flare dress is to choose a coat with a similar silhouette. This will keep the outfit looking balanced and put together. I paired the coat with huge pink pom pom earrings for an extra feminine touch, as well as pink velvet booties. This special occasion outfit is totally fitting for a Park Avenue princess on her way to a fancy cocktail party.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this post and are inspired with some new outfit ideas! Transitioning from Summer to Fall only takes a few key pieces and it is all about the styling. You can see more photos from this shoot on the Maggy London blog, and as all 3 pieces are linked in the widget below!
