When you think of matching pearl jewelry, you might think of your Mom’s old pearls or a stuffy old-lady look complete with a matching suit. But there are totally ways to wear a matching pearl set and still look cute and trendy. It’s all about how you style the pieces to fit your own personal look. For me, I’m all about feminine and ladylike style, so when I got this rose gold pearl set from JTV, I knew that I wanted to go super feminine. Read on to see how I styled pearl jewelry the blogger way.
To style the pearl hoop earrings and rose gold pearl necklace, I went with a strawberry print vintage inspired dress. The exaggerated collar on this dress goes perfectly with the pearl necklace and adds visual interest. I wanted the look to exude femininity, almost to an exaggerated degree. Going with pearl earrings AND a pearl necklace is feminine to begin with, so I figured why not embrace it and go all out! Since it is now Fall, I layered the dress over a ruffle sleeve sweater. One of my favorite ways to transition a summer dress into Fall is with layering. It makes the whole outfit more interesting and keeps you warm.
In addition to the pearl jewelry, I accessorized with the most adorable baby pink rainbow micro-backpack. Obviously, I had to mix rainbows with strawberries to embrace the exaggerated femininity of this outfit. I completed the look with lace-up booties for a milkmaid-meets-nolita vibe. I’m really happy with how this outfit turned out, and I feel like the dress and ruffle sleeves on the sweater perfectly complement the JTV pearl pieces.
