HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! I want to take this opportunity to thank all my readers for all your support, my blog couldn’t had gotten to where it is without you guys. I’m so excited to accomplish even more in 2018 and hopefully finally achieve my dream of being able to support myself full-time on the blog. I’m closer than ever to achieving this goal, so I think 2018 will really be the year that I am able to take my blog to the next level. I can’t wait to work harder than ever to achieve my dream, I know that every second is worth it because I’m doing something I truly love.Layersofchic How to Style Bowtie outfitLayersofChic How to Style Silk Slip Dress with sweater winter outfit LayersofChic How to Style Silk Slip Dress for Winter fashion blogLayersofChic How to Style Silk Slip Dress cute outfit ideas

I wanted to start off the New Year with a cheerful outfit post, so I chose this colorful look that I shot a few weeks ago when it first snowed in New York. Many people think that a silk slip dress can only be worn during the warmer months, but I like to get creative and make it work for all seasons. This slip dress from PAOM has the coolest floral checkered print, and for an unexpected Winter look I decided to layer a pullover sweater over the dress. So surprise, I’m actually wearing a dress under this sweater and not a skirt. One of the easiest ways to transition a silk slip dress to Winter is by layering, I usually like to add a layer either above or under the dress. See some other ways I’ve styled a slip dress for Winter here & here. To add some color to this outfit, I accessorized with a matching knit gloves and hat set from Shokay. I also added an adorable bowtie collar from PAOM, I love the pink color and rose print. I completed the look with statement sparkly earrings, metallic heel loafers, and a Fossil tote bag.
