On my recent trip to Macau, I had a chance to explore the colorful and vibrate streets of Macau City. If you haven’t yet caught Part I of my Macau travel diary, be sure to check it out for where to stay and the best hotel resort experience. Today’s post will focus on the beautiful streets of Macau and the outfits I chose to match. Macau has a lot of Portuguese influence as it was actually under Portuguese rule for many years. Thus, some of the architecture is actually Portuguese inspired, such as the super colorful buildings that you see in some of the photos.
I love this yellow building I found while wandering the Macau city streets, it contrasted perfectly against my two-piece turquoise set from Brett Adam. I also love the motorcycle alleyway in the below shot. Motorcycles are everywhere in Macau as many people travel on them in place of cars. I even decided to get on a random bike for the perfect shot.
This two-piece set is a Brett Adam original and is actually reconstructed from a vintage dress. I paired it with a classic socks and heels combo to up the vintage vibe. I actually got these velvet heels and the socks in Macau, and they go together perfectly. I completed the look with a pink bow bag and black and gold jewelry.
For this second outfit, I found the most colorful Portuguese inspired building. The yellow and green just happened to match the colors of my outfit, so of course I had to take photos in front of it. I am seriously in awe of the Macau city vibrant colors and streets, it made shooting my outfits so much more fun! This matching sweater and pants is a great travel outfit as it’s super comfy yet stylish at the same time. The set is from Amaryllis Apparel, and I absolutely love the velvet joggers! For a pop of color, I paired it with my yellow rainboots from Bernardo 1946. Are these not the cutest rain boots you’ve ever seen?! Dare I even say that it makes me happy when it rains just so I can wear these boots 🙂
I added a fun touch to this casual outfit with heart glasses that I also bought in Macau. Admittedly, these are not the most practical as they cannot be fitted with a prescription, so they are pure fashion glasses. Finally, I completed the look with my turquoise Brahmin circle bag for a fun and trendy look.
