Hey guys! I’m so excited to announce that I will attending the Atlanta Apparel Market this April, an industry tradeshow showcasing all the latest in clothing and accessories. I will be speaking on an Influencer Style Panel about the latest trends, and there will also be a fun “Meet the Influencers” Happy Hour and fashion show. Atlanta is near and dear to my heart as I actually went to college there at Emory University, and I haven’t been back in over 3 years. I’m so excited to see how the city has changed, meet up with some old friends, and of course browse all the latest trends and mingle with brands and attendees at the market! Even though the trip is still a few days away, being the OCD person I am, I’m already planning out my outfits and accessories. Read on to see what I’m bringing on my trip.
Like a true fashion blogger, the first thing I always plan out when I pack is what outfits I’m bringing. I will be attending the Atlanta Apparel Market for two days on April 11thand 12th, so I focused on two killer outfits, an extra outfit just in case, and comfy clothes for hanging out with friends. For the “Meet the Influencers” Happy Hour and Kickoff party on the first day, I decided on a chic black crochet dress with sheer cutouts. I got this dress in Hong Kong and have been saving it for a special occasion. I plan on pairing it with a vintage wicker handbag and floral heels for a pop of color.
For the second day, which is the Influencer Panel and fashion show, I really want to showcase my bold and colorful style. So I’m going with a bright pink jumpsuit and a blush pink blazer. Since I will be speaking on a panel, I chose the blazer to give me a more authoritative look. My accessories will be my favorite floral handbag and open toed pumps. Now just in case I change my mind last minute, I’m also bringing my favorite vintage dress as a back-up outfit. My motto is always overpack!
No packing list is complete without comfy lounge clothes and casual clothes, so I’m bringing my matching velvet set for hotel room lounging, and a cropped sweatshirt and jeans for hanging out with friends.
Not going to lie guys, packing jewelry is always my least favorite part. Jewelry can get so tangled and messy, and I’m always afraid more delicate pieces are going to break. What I’m been doing is keeping the jewelry bags that come when you buy a piece for travel, and for bigger pieces I’ll place one piece per bag. Usually I’ll put all my rings in one bag, and all my earrings in one bag. Then I put all the bags into a handbag for extra protection before placing into my luggage. For this trip, I’m focusing on fun statement pieces like the feather earrings and wide gold cuff.
So I’m a bit of a hoarder when it comes to travel sized beauty products, as you can see from the photo above. I hate having to worry about my beauty products going over the carryon limit, plus it seems so inefficient to bring full-sized products on a short trip. Packing makeup, skincare, and toiletries is actually really easy for me because I keep all my travel sized products in one place, so anytime I travel it’s all there ready for me. This definitely makes packing more manageable and pleasant. One of my favorite travel-sized makeup is the Woosh Beauty fold-up palette that has foundation, eye shadows, highlighter, concealer, and blush all in one compact palette. I also love the individual sized Masque Bar face masks, and I never travel without my Aveda color protecting shampoo and conditioner.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this inside look into what I’m bringing to the Atlanta Apparel Market. If you’re a blogger in Atlanta and are interested in attending, you can find more info here. I would love to meet some of you! I can’t wait for the fashion show and am especially excited to preview collections from For Love and Lemons, French Connection, and Lucky Brand Jeans.
