Being a huge fan of vintage, I’ve always pictured myself with a vintage engagement ring. I’ve never been the cookie cutter type, and my perfect ring is preferably a one-of-a-kind vintage diamond ring from the Art Deco period. So when I visited the Victor Barboné showroom, known for their dreamy vintage diamond rings, I knew that I had found the place where I wanted my future engagement ring (take note, future fiancé, whoever you might be). But the great thing about the vintage rings at Victor Barboné is that they also work for everyday, so for those ladies who aren’t yet engaged or married, you can still treat yourself to a diamond ring. To be clear, when I say they work for everyday, I mean that stylistically, vintage rings are more fashion-forward than regular diamond rings, and thus would look great as an everyday ring. I don’t mean that the price point is every day – these rings are definitely an investment, but if you’re going to invest in anything, it might as well be a timeless and unique piece.
This first ring is a vintage Chanel black onyx & diamond ring from the 1920s Art Deco Era. I love the classic sophistication of this ring, and how the diamond really pops against the black onyx setting. I could totally see this paired with smaller black rings for a stacked look. At 2.90 carats, this ring is totally stunning and looks good on any hand, plus who doesn’t love vintage Chanel?!
For the feminine romantic girl, a diamond ring with pearl stones is a great alternative to the typical princess cut ring. This 1.92 carat ring is circa 1910 and works for both engagement and everyday. It would look great stacked with a smaller band on top like I did here, or with a matching pearl necklace for a ladylike touch. Since this ring has a smaller diamond, it’s also more subtle for everyday wear.
Perhaps my favorite way to wear vintage diamond rings is to stack on as many as possible! If only this combination of rings was my daily stack. I love the oval rose cut diamond ring on my middle finger that is as vintage as it could get, dated to circa 1905. This is the kind of ring that just feels like it has history and has been passed on for many generations. The ring would definitely work as a fashion ring as well as engagement ring, it’s such a statement piece. On my index finger, I’m wearing a vintage halo diamond ring from the 1920s, with 1.93 carats. The round shape gives this ring a more classic and engagement feel, but as you can see it still looks great paired with other pieces.
The last set of rings I tried on at Victor Barboné are two rings that work great for a cocktail party. The pointy oval shaped ring is an antique navette ring circa 1910, with a total of 4.69 carats. The oval shape gives this ring a fashion forward edge, I would wear this dressed down with a blazer or dressed up with a gown. The last ring I’ll be sharing with you today is a three cluster vintage diamond ring for the true diamond lover. At a whopping $45,000, this ring is not for the faint of heart! The diamonds are so clear cut and beautiful, I could look at this ring all day.
To shoot these gorgeous vintage diamond rings, I had to put on a magnificent dress and shoot in front of the New York Palace, an iconic Gossip Girl spot. I totally channeled my inner Serena van der Woodsen in this shoot, and felt very glamorous in both my blue dress and Christian Dior vintage blazer. Sometimes, a girl can pretend, right?

This dress is STUNNING!!
The pictures of you in the blue dress are soooo crazy beautiful that I gasped when I opened up this post. While all the rings are perfection, the antique-looking one…that’s maybe rose gold (?) is my absolute favourite. Can you share where you got the pink, round purse?
it’s from a little boutique in Hong Kong, that’s why I didn’t link it!
That blue dress is stunning on you and I love that embellished bag!
These have such a cute and classic feel to them. I can see this becoming a trend!
I love the Victorian feel to this. I have a few I need to start wearing!
I didn’t know I needed a vintage ring until now! I love just about every single one but the diamond with pearls is just stunning! Loved reading this and your photos are so stunning as well! 🙂
