Two weeks ago, I was in the South of France for one of my best friend’s wedding. The entire wedding was so beautiful and the epitome of quintessential French country style. For the bridesmaid dresses, my friend gave us all a theme, but we did not all need to have the same dress. She wanted to go for a mix-and-match bridesmaid look in muted tones of pink, blush, peach, neutrals, lavender, light blue, light olive, with some floral patterns and embellishments. So when I went to search for my dress, I knew I wanted something printed, but neutral enough to fit with the rest of the dresses. I also wanted something soft and flowy, and preferably not looking too much like a bridesmaid dress. I was lucky enough to find this boho bridesmaid dress from Amsale that fit the criteria perfectly.
The soft watercolor print on this dress is super romantic and perfect for the French country style vibe. I love the chiffon material that gives this dress great movement, I honestly feel like a princess wearing it. This print and color from Amsale actually comes in three different silhouettes. I chose the Tamara style with a high illusion bodice and delicate tie in the back, which I think is super elegant. The dress also comes in a strapless style and inverted halter style.
I accessorized this boho bridesmaid dress with a white vintage clutch and floral headband. I wanted to keep the vibe romantic and feminine. I also found the prettiest roses at the Provence farmer’s market, so of course had to buy some for the shoot. The week leading up to the wedding, we stayed at a true French country style villa called Villa St Saturnin. The front of the villa felt like the perfect location to shoot the dress, with the light blue doors accented with pastel flowers and vibrant greenery.
