Since Summer is already half over, I thought it was time I shared my two favorite swimsuits this season. Not surprisingly, these two pieces are my favorite as they are my most flattering swimsuits, and I believe they would work for almost any body type. It is especially hard to look flattering in photos while wearing a bathing suit, but these pieces managed to do the trick!
This one piece bathing suit from Summersalt is seriously the most flattering swimsuit I’ve ever worn. The asymmetrical lines slim the body while the color blocking design is so unique and flattering. The suit stays in place and moves with you, as you can see in these actions shots. I was able to jump, twirl, and run in this suit with no issues. It also comes in 7 different color combinations, as well as a solid white one. But the best part of this one-piece is perhaps the chic back. I am obsessed with the asymmetrical cut-out design So essentially what I’m saying is that this suit looks good from all angles and allows for movement, thus making it the best one piece bathing suit in my opinion.
I took these photos on a day trip to Long Branch beach with my blogger bestie Kasey from The Style Wright. It was my first time at Long Branch and I was definitely impressed by both the beach itself and the surrounding cute beach town. There were so many cute shops and restaurants, we had the best Jamaican food and ice cream, plus got some Summer goodies at a trendy boutique called Molly and Zoey. I highly recommend it if you’re ever in the Long Branch beach area!
My favorite two piece this season has been this high-waisted ruffle bikini from Unique Vintage. I was so impressed when I first got this bikini in the mail. My struggle with two pieces is that the bottom waistband often cuts into the skin, giving the appearance of love handles. This happens even with high-waisted pieces when the waistband is just not designed properly. So I really love this bikini because the waistband on the high waisted bottom is designed with a side lace-up, so the top of the band does not cut into the skin at all. Notice how smooth and skinny my waist looks in this bikini! The ruffle bikini top is also very flattering and shows off my cleavage. I was worried that this piece would fall with too much movement, but it stayed intact and only succeeded to show more cleavage, which I was not opposed to.
I also love the fun polka dot lipstick print on the bikini that has a retro vibe. It goes great with a red polka dot cover-up skirt for a full on feminine look.
