I’m super excited to share today’s post with you guys, because it features not one, but TWO outfits! But the best part is that both outfits are made up of thrift store finds that total $21. Can you believe that?! That’s not even the cost of a meal in NYC. I found all the pieces at Savers®, which is a thrift department store that has a huge selection of clothing, shoes, accessories, and home decor, with most items under $7. I went to the Savers in West Hempstead which was the closest one to me in NY, but depending on where you are located, you may know the store as Value Village™ or Unique® Thrift. It was my first time as the store, and I was definitely overwhelmed by the massive selection when I first walked in. There are rows and rows of clothing, and just tons of stuff everywhere you look. I decided to start with the dresses section since that’s what I wear most often, and I was lucky enough to find two dresses both under $5 that are featured in this post.
When I’m thrift store shopping, I look for pieces that are in good condition, are vintage, or remind me of a designer piece. This floral dress was my first find at Savers, and it totally reminded me of a Zimmerman dress the moment I saw it. The blue and yellow floral print and delicate ruffles give it a romantic vibe that is so similar to Zimmerman. The dress was $4.99 and in great condition, so it was a no-brainer for me. To go with the dress, I also found this amazing oversized pink denim jacket from Savers for $8.99. I couldn’t believe my luck, the color and fit of this jacket is so on-trend and would be perfect for NYFW.
I decided to wear the jacket with the sleeves pushed up for a cool-girl effect. As the dress was on the looser side, I added a gold chain belt to cinch the waist and make the dress look more expensive. To further elevate my look, I chose heeled wedges, a gold necklace and bangles, and a leather handbag. I love the street style vibe of this outfit, you would never guess the clothes are only $14 combined!
This second outfit features two thrift store finds: a delicate vintage dress and straw basket bag. When I first saw this white dress on the hanger at Savers, it kind of reminded me of a nightgown. But the material on it was so unique with a white sheen, and the lace details were so pretty, so I decided to give it a try. And I am SO glad I did – this dress is amazingly flattering on the body and hugs and clings at all the right places. Styled the right way, you could wear this dress to a wedding and no one would bat an eye, that’s how expensive and elevated it looks. It is so amazing to me that the dress was $4.99, and yet it has become one of the prettiest dresses in my closet.
My other amazing find is this straw basket bag that was $1.99. That’s right, 1.99!!! That’s less than a coffee. Ok, so full disclosure I’m not actually sure this is meant to be a bag. I found it at the straw baskets furniture section at Savers, but it has a handle so obviously I’m wearing it as a bag. I have a tendency to turn home decor items into fashion accessories. I mean how darling is this piece? With straw basket bags so in this Summer, this one hits all the right notes, from the boxy shape to the floral design.
This dress reminded me so much of Provence, so I paired it with a straw hat and blush pink flats. For an added touch of femininity, I went with pink tassel earrings, layered diamond bracelets, and a pink vintage ring. I also managed to find the perfect spot to shoot this outfit, as I stumbled upon this beautiful floral storefront with the cutest yellow bench. Sometimes things just work out!
And now for the fun part! You can win a $50 gift card to Savers simply by commenting “Entered” and why you love thrifting in the comments below. I hope this post inspired you to do some thrifting and showed that you can find cute pieces at super affordable prices!
Thanks for reading,

I can’t believe you found these items for such good prices. I often get overwhelmed when I enter a robust store like that because it involves picking through the racks, but it looks like your haul made it very worth it!
