About a month ago, I went to my first polo match, The Victory Polo Cup, with some of my favorite blogger babes. The match took place on Governor’s Island and we were lucky enough to have VIP Founder’s Lounge tickets that allowed us to be in a tented lounge area with food, drinks, and tables. I have to admit we didn’t pay much attention to the actual polo playing, but we did stomp the divets and of course dressed the part. It was so fun just hanging out with friends enjoying good food and drinks and getting away from the city for a day.
For my polo match outfit, I partnered with Unique Vintage and chose this beautiful Monet-inspired dress and white satin feather hat. This dress caught my eye the moment I saw it on the Unique Vintage website. The print is so romantic and feminine, and I always love a good swing dress. I thought the colors and shape would be perfect for the Polo match. A good polo match outfit always involves a statement hat, and I had a lot of fun picking out mine. There were so many great choices on Unique Vintage that it was hard to choose, but I eventually settled on this white disc hat because I thought it looked super unique and chic. I like that it’s different from a typical straw hat.
For my accessories, I chose super feminine elements including layered pearl necklaces, a bow bracelet, and my pink Cult Gaia dupe bag. I love the combination of light pink and blue, there’s something so soft and pretty about it. I completed the look with lace-up floral sandals that ended up getting so destroyed on the wet grass. RIP, Poetic Licence sandals.
