Who’s excited about Fall dressing?! The temperatures in NYC finally dropped this past week and I even brought out the tights for a day! So today’s post is all about my Fall fashion staples, because we can’t start off Fall without some of my favorite cozy pieces. First up is a black turtleneck, a must-have for every woman’s closet. Now I’m not super into black as you guys know, but there is something very classically chic about a black turtleneck. I like this one from Lafayette 148 as it has a bit of design to it with a chain detail around the neckline, which looks great paired with layered gold necklaces. The soft viscose fabric also makes this turtleneck a great layering piece for Winter, and perfect on its own for Fall.
Another one of my Fall fashion staples is a plaid wool skirt. Plaid is a quintessential Fall print as it’s associated with back to school season, and I couldn’t help but feel a bit like a hot teacher in this outfit. I love the midi length of this plaid skirt and how it flares out on the bottom. The A-line silhouette definitely elevates this piece. I also layered a denim jacket with a pop of leopard print over my shoulders, another Fall fashion essential. For my shoes, I chose chunky olive green velvet heels from Cabi to complete the Fall vibes of this outfit. Of course, I had to add a pop of print with fun lipstick socks.
Since this outfit has so many classic pieces, I chose quirky accessories to complete the look. I love adding a pop of pink to a muted outfit, so I went with my pink leather handbag. To make the black turtleneck more interesting, I added two layered gold cosmic necklaces which are all the rage these days, as well as statement gold hoop earrings. Lastly, I went with my rose gold pink sunglasses from Covry for a trendy touch.

You have such a fun, unique style! I love the pink bag paired with this look. I need that skirt!
That is such a cute outfit, I love the skirt!
So chic! Love the fall inspo here. I think putting socks with heels is so fun…I did something like that too!
I’ve recently rediscovered black polo necks. I used to think they were a bit frumpy but as you’ve demonstrated if you mix them with the right items they’re totally on point.
Yes! A black turtle neck is such a staple.
I so agree! I just found a vintage plaid Jil Sander skirt. I’m so excited for it to arrive, and I can’t believe those earrings are only $7 at Lulu’s right now! I just scored them, thank you so much! They look stunning on you. Love every detail of this look.
