For this NYFW, the highlight was getting to do a group shoot with my blogger friends. My friend Gail from @simplygailg organized a group photo shoot to highlight diversity and show that fashion is not just black and white. We were all told to wear color, and coincidentally all showed up in different colors to form a rainbow. While we were shooting at Spring Studios, we attached a lot of attention from other street style photographers, resulting in our photo being featured on Getty, EOnline, and Glamour UK! It was definitely cool to see our photo on all of these sites, and even more cool that they chose a photo with such a diverse group of girls!
For the first day of NYFW, I had just returned from Foxwoods and did not have an outfit planned at all. I received this neon sweater from H&M the week before, and also happened to pick up a red skirt from H&M while I was at Foxwoods. So I decided to pair the two pieces together for bold pops of color. I love the primary colors in this outfit and how edgy and cool it is. I chose my men’s Reebok sneakers to give this outfit a street-style vibe, and added my Dollskill color block handbag for a pop of print. I completed the outfit with big hoop earrings from Jenny Bird and statement butterfly-shaped sunglasses.
For Day 2 0f NYFW, I wore an amazing Sies Marjan suit on loan from Farfetch. This pink suit seriously fit me so well and was so flattering! Most pant suits are too long on me, but the pants on these were cropped and a perfect length on my 5’3 height. I decided to style it with a bit sex appeal by choosing not to wear anything under the blazer. This was possible due to a whole lot of fashion tape! To play off the deep V-neck in the blazer, I went with a long necklace from SEQUIN to add a touch of glam.
I completed the outfit with Aquazurra fuchsia pumps also from Farfetch. I love the clear band detail on these pumps and how they give the pink suit a modern edge. Lastly, I went with a floral bag to add a pop of print, and pink sunnies.
For Day 3 of NYFW, I got really ambitious and had not one, but two outfits. I fell in love with this ROTATE dress at the Farfetch NYFW Styling Suite when I tried it on, so I decided I just had to wear it to a show. This floral puff sleeve dress just speaks to my soul, so I’m so glad I discovered ROTATE through Farfetch!
For my second outfit of the day, I went full-on 70’s in this embroidered blouse and amazing flared pants, both from Kobi Halperin. These pattern on these pants are just exquisite and I’m so glad I was able to make them work with my highest heeled boots! Kobi Halperin’s pieces always have the most amazing details, such as this gorgeous silk blouse with intricate embroidery and subtle ruffles at the neck and sleeves. I styled the outfit with a gold chain belt and round brown sunnies to add the 70’s vibe of this look. Lastly, I went with my beaded Jamin Puech bag for a boho-glam touch.
For my last NYFW outfit, I didn’t get a chance to take photos with my photographer, but luckily I got snapped by Getty Images and BFA. I wore a long vintage dress from Installation BK, a vintage copper belt, and a green headband for a pop of color. Funny story: I wore this outfit to the Cynthia Rowley show, and the Getty photographer actually thought my dress was Cynthia Rowley. Guess that means I dressed the part!
