Mule Shoe Love

Shirt from Asia, Vintage skirt, Seychelles mules, Vintage purse

I have joined the mule shoe club! When I first saw this trend pop up I wasn't so sure about it, especially how one can walk in a backless shoe. But when I saw these Seychelles mint green mules on sale on Gilt for less than $100, it was just too good of a deal to pass up. And it definitely proved to be a great purchase for Spring/Summer! I paired them with floral socks, a vintage floral skirt, and cropped top for a quirky bohemian look.

Pleated Red Dress

H&M dress (here), Blazer from Asia, Everlane loafer (here), Madewell socks, Vintage necklace, Orchirly bag

I spotted this pleated red dress at H&M and bought it on a whim, and it's definitely one of the best impulse purchases I've made! I love the shape and effortless throw-on-and-go ease, and the pleats make it look so much more expensive than it is. I paired it with a sharp polka dot blazer and suede loafers for trendy look.

Afternoon Tea at the Plaza

Vintage jacket, H&M dress, & Other Stories booties, Vintage handbag

Afternoon tea at the Plaza hotel's Palm Court is a New York City classic. It's something that I've always wanted to do, and a few weekends ago for my birthday I was finally able to check it off my bucket list with my best friend. No where else in NY is it more appropriate to wear a pink hat than for this occasion, so of course I couldn't pass up the chance! I chose a super feminine and classic outfit with a vintage cropped jacket, floral dress, and black booties. I wanted to embody the feeling of ladylike dressing, and I admit I did feel quite fancy in my slightly ostentatious hat while sipping tea in the plush seats of the Palm Court. This is one experience I would definitely recommend to all ladies living in New York - you must try this at least once in your life!
