Chinese New Year Red

Vintage blazer, J Brand jeans, Banana Republic sweater, Kate Spade boots, Deux Lux bag

For my fellow Asian readers, Happy Chinese New Year! I wore this vintage red blazer on Saturday to celebrate the holiday with my family by eating hot pot at our favorite place in Flushing. If you're looking for a good place that never disappoints, I highly recommend Little Sheep Mongolian Hot Pot, their broth is so flavorful and they have a great sauce bar and super fresh ingredients. My boyfriend was a hot pot newbie and was just continuously fed by my family for 2 straight hours - I think he enjoyed it.

I chose this outfit to be comfortable but festive at the same time, knowing that I was going to be having a big meal. This vintage blazer is one of my favorite finds from Montreal last Thanksgiving, it's the perfect mix of classic with a bit of a quirky vintage edge. I paired it with skinny jeans and printed boots for a chic look.

Oversized Coat Crush

McQ Alexander McQueen coat, Asos blouse, Vintage sweater, Free People boots (here, on sale!), Orchirly bag

I've never been able to pull off the oversized coat trend - every version I've tried on felt like it just swallowed me up. But when I put on this McQ Alexander McQueen coat, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the coat fit me, and more importantly looked good on me with the oversized style. The pink details are what ultimately sealed the deal for me - the big pocket and wide band on the back make the coat unique and effortlessly chic. I paired the coat with pink over the knee boots for a casually coordinated look.

All Black Chic

Vintage sweater vest, EQIQ skirt, Jill Sander Navy boots, Chloe Drew bag (similar here), Hermes Medor watch (here)

If you've been following me for a while, you know that I'm a color girl. So I surprised even myself when I put together this all black outfit today - I woke up and was inspired to wear something effortlessly chic and feminine. So naturally I reached for my black turtleneck, but being that it's winter and I love any excuse to layer, I thought why not put a bejeweled sweater vest over it for fun. And to elevate the outfit to a more sophisticated level, I choose a black leather skirt and black ankle boots. I finished the look with my Chloe bag to bring in some nice but minimal color contrast.
