Burgundy for Fall: Celine Ring Bag

The Kooples shirt, LC Lauren Conrad Runway skirt, Jill Sander boots, Celine ring bag

A few weeks ago, I finally took the plunge and bought my first Celine bag, the burgundy Ring bag. These are the first photos on the blog with the bag, but trust me you will see a lot more as it will not be leaving my arm this Fall! The color is perfect for Fall and Winter, and I can't wait to pair it with chic black turtlenecks and oversized coats.

For this outfit, I'm rocking a midi skirt from the LC Lauren Conrad Runway collection, and a classic white boyfriend shirt from the Kooples. I toughened up the feminine silhouette with black booties, and of course the Celine for a Fall vibe.

Fire Island Beach

Vintage leather jacket, Scotch & Soda jacket, Vintage men's shirt, Pistola jeans (here), Nike sneakers, Kate Spade bag (similar here)

Last weekend I visited Fire Island for the first time out in the southern part of Long Island. With the cooler weather, the island was so peaceful as most of summer crowd had trickled out. Before I went, I had always perceived the island as frat central, with lots of parties and beer everywhere. But it was totally not what I expected! It felt more like a sanctuary away from the city, and we did fun island activities such as riding bicycles, taking long walks on the beach, and exploring a forest.

These photos were taken during a very windy walk on the beach, as you can tell from my crazy looking hair! But isn't the view beautiful? There was almost no one else there except for our group, so it was perfect for taking photos. For my outfit, I definitely wanted to be comfortable, so I chose white jeans and an oversized men's shirt, layered with two jackets as I wasn't sure what the weather would be like. And I'm wearing my Nike high-tops which I haven't worn all summer, so this was a great occasion to break them out of the closet.

Sunday Best

GisellaNoir cropped jacket (from Singapore), Rosegal dress (here), Kate Spade bag, Burberry flats

This dress from Rosegal is a true gem: the print is so unique and I love the jacquard material. After spending all of last Saturday in bed with a cold, I thought I would dress up on Sunday to make myself feel better - you know what they say, how you look on the outside reflects how you feel on the inside. I styled the dress with a cropped yellow jacket, coral cross-body purse, and lace leather flats for a pretty and ladylike look. Last Sunday also proved to be quite the day as I ended up unexpectedly buying my first Celine bag, the Ring bag in Burgundy. I've been thinking about making a Celine purchase for a while now, and when I walked into the Soho store and saw the gorgeous burgundy color, I knew I was not walking away without the bag on my arm!
