Maxi Dress Perfection

A perfect maxi dress can be the answer to so many “I have nothing to wear” moments during the summer, such as weddings, office parties, or a romantic weekend date. I bought this lovely floral number at Anthropologie for a wedding, and I’ve never had a maxi dress that fit so perfectly without being too long. The petite line from Anthropologie is a recent discovery on my part, and here I’m wearing XSP, which allows me to wear this dress even with flat sandals at 5’3.

I accessorized the dress with romantic jewelry, including a vintage pearl bracelet from Nepal and chunky earrings from New York & Company. I also chose a vintage wicker bag to pair with the feminine and whimsical vibe of the dress. These photos were taken at the Brooklyn Museum over Memorial Day weekend, and it was such a joy to find the museum rather empty and quiet. We came upon this grand hall and I thought it would be such a great place for a photo shoot and a nice change from my usual outdoor setting.

If you’re looking for something that’s effortless and chic at the same time for a special occasion or just a casual day, I highly recommend investing in a good maxi dress. If you’re still not convinced, see some of my other outfits featuring maxi dresses include layering over a top, accessorizing with multiple necklaces, and pairing with a jacket.
