The secret to dressing like a boss lady…is a fur vest! I put together this outfit without the intention of looking like a boss, but the moment I put on this vest, it was inevitable. This faux fur vest from Black Swan is so fabulous and adds an element of sophistication to any outfit, and is only $24.50! I felt like I was owning the world walking around in this outfit, and I definitely got looks from people, I assume of admiration 😉 I paired the vest with a plunging V-neck blouse from Tobi, and the two pieces look like they were made for each other. The V-neck is just the right amount of sexiness, and the vest provides enough coverage while letting the blouse peek through. I also love the high neck strap of the blouse, it adds an element of edginess and authority.
I choose burgundy tones for the rest of the outfit to dial-up the luxe factor. I paired a burgundy skirt with a leather detail with these gorgeous lace-up heels from Poetic Licence. I am seriously obsessed with these heels – I’ve been wanting a pair of lace-ups forever, and these so perfect in both the color and height. The heel is less than 3 inches, making it both comfortable and chic for walking. It’s also made from the softest material and has great cushion support, I was so surprised when I slipped my feet in!
For my accessories, every boss lady needs a Celine bag, so of course I used my precious burgundy Celine ring bag for this outfit. To complement the v-neck blouse, I chose a long delicate necklace from Gorjana, two pieces that also seem to be made for each other. I finished the look with gold rings to pair with the burgundy tones.
But asides from the fur vest, the real secret to dressing like a boss lady is confidence and feeling like a million bucks in what you’re wearing. It’s all about owning it, and if you think you look good, others will think the same!
