Hello from Macau! I apologize for the lack of posts over the past week, I was in Thailand with family and am now in Macau to celebrate Chinese New Year’s. Many of you may not know that my Dad and most of my family lives in China, and I make a trip each year to visit them. In the past I’ve always visited during Christmas as I get the most vacation days during that time, but now that I’m a full-time blogger I am lucky enough to be able to spend Chinese New Year’s with my family, something I haven’t done in years. Stay tuned for a travel diary coming soon on Thailand, I have so many wonderful photos to share with you guys!
Now moving onto this outfit, this is one of the several Valentine’s Day looks I’ll be featuring on the blog. This romantic dress is perfect for a fancy Valentine’s Day date, perhaps out to a nice dinner and then to the opera or a show. The floral appliqué and pink color make it such a dreamy dress, and is guarantee to take your date’s breath away. It also comes with an optional matching red belt for a more defined waist. Since NY is pretty cold in the Winter, I completed the look with a red wool coat draped over the shoulders. Red is classic color for Valentine’s Day, and this coat allows you to look chic even when you’re outside.
For my accessories, I complemented the dress with a white clutch for a classic touch. I finished the look with heart-shaped earrings, a gold bangle, and delicate ring. I also went with nail polish polish and wavy hair for a truly romantic Valentine’s Day outfit.
Believe it or not, I actually took these photos by myself with a tripod and remote control. It’s a little hard to do when you’re living in the city, but it’s a great option if you’re in the suburbs or somewhere with less people. Would you guys be interested in a tutorial on how to shoot with a tripod? Let me know in the comments below!
