As you guys have seen in the past few weeks, I have become a huge fan of Chicwish and have been wearing their pieces non-stop (as seen here, here & here). I’m in love with every piece I’ve received with the exception of a mini skirt that was too small, but would have been cute otherwise as well. Chicwish is like a more feminine, whimsical version of Zara, with unique pieces that you won’t find in US stores. This tiered ruffle skirt is a serious showstopper, and I got compliments all day when I wore it. At a petite 5’2, this midi skirt is the perfect length and accentuates my waist, making me look super skinny (for reference I’m wearing a size Small). The cascading ruffles give it a dramatic effect and makes me want to twirl around and do some salsa dancing. But the most important thing about this skirt is that it is oh-so-photogenic. I swear you can’t take a bad photo in this skirt!
Since the skirt is such a statement piece, I balanced it with a slouchy tank (designed by moi) for an effortless, downtown vibe. I also layered a pretty lace bralette under the tank for a feminine touch. This skirt can totally be dressed up for a more over-the-top look with a crop top and heels, it just depends on what you’re in the mood for. To keep with the casual vibe, I took a risk and paired the skirt with leather slippers that I got monogrammed at an event. I will admit that I’m not entirely sure whether these slippers are meant to be house slippers or worn outdoors, but I just went with it. Anyone else think that monogrammed pieces are super chic?!
If you might have noticed, I finally did something different with my hair! And by different, I just mean I pinned it to the side on one side to allow my earring to show. I chose fun pink tassel earrings from Sugarfix by Baublebar, which I thought were the perfect compliment to the skirt. I kept the rest of my jewelry pretty simple, with a gold and navy watch and Thomas Sabo friendship bracelets. Because this outfit has such a fun vibe, I competed the look with my precious bow clutch. I have to say this is one of my favorite outfits to date, let me know if you guys think the same!

This skirt is so cute! I love the fun color. Thank you for sharing how it fits for length. I am petite and am always hesitant to purchase midi or maxi outfits because they can sometimes be too long.
The skirt is pretty awesome! You look amazing!
